larger image 		Achromatic doublets are far superior to simple lenses because they are corrected for two color lines, specifically C(656.27nm) and F(486.13nm). Focal length is specified for the D line (589.3nm) in an air medium with parallel incident light. Air spaced achromats may be used where even greater correction is required. Because of their superior optical quality, ROLYN Achromats may be used in microscopes, telescopes, magnifiers, eyepieces and many other scientific instruments. These lenses have both faces anti-reflection coated for visible spectrum (400-700nm) with single layer magnesium fluoride, (MgF2).
